కామేస్తై స్తైర్హృతజ్ఞానాః ప్రపద్యంతేఽన్యదేవతాః। తం తం నియమమాస్థాయ ప్రకృత్యా నియతా స్స్వయా॥29॥7॥ శ్రీమద్భగవద్గీత...విజ్ఞాన యోగము... శ్రీకృష్ణుడు అర్జునుడికి సగటు మనిషి ఎలా దేన్ని నమ్ముతాడు,దేన్ని పూజిస్తాడో చెబుతున్నాడు.అర్జునా!ఓ పార్థా!జ్ఞాని నేను ఎవరు,ఏంటో క్షుణ్ణంగా తెలుసుకుని,నా శరణు జొచ్చుతాడు.కానీ మామూలు మనిషి ఆలోచనా విథానము,అతని పరిమితులు ఇలా ఉంటాయి.చెద పురుగులు చేవగల చెక్కని ఏమి చేస్తాయి,చెప్పు?ఎలాంటి కనికరమూ,మొహమాటం లేకుండా తెల్లవారేటప్పటికి పిండి,పిండి చేసేస్తాయి కదా!అట్లాగే కోరికలు అనేవి చెద పురుగులు లాగ.అవి మనిషి మస్తిష్కాన్ని నిర్దాక్షిణ్యంగా కొల్లగొట్టి,గుల్ల చేస్తాయి.అమాయకపు మానవుడు చేసేదానికి ఇంక ఏమి మిగిలి ఉంది?అతని కామనలు,వాంఛలు,కోరికలు ఏ దారిలో ఉంటాయో ఆ దారిలోనే అనేక నియమాలను పాటిస్తూ,పయనం సాగిస్తాడు.ఆ కోరికలు త్వరత్వరగా తీర్చుకోవాలి అనే తపనలో చిన్న చిన్న ఇతర దేవతలను ఉపాసిస్తుంటాడు.
